Cristina Hernández is not only a photographer but also a lawyer by profession. She began her legal career 15 years ago at the law firm Cobián & Cobián, PSC, in Puerto Rico. During that time, she litigated over 100 personal injury cases in Puerto Rican courts and the Federal Court for the District of Puerto Rico. She later worked as a claims attorney for the insurance company AIG and eventually returned to litigation as an associate attorney at the law firm Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC.
Her interest in photography began in 2015 while she was still working as a lawyer. Today, she focuses primarily on wedding and couple photography. She is most likely the only photographer-lawyer in Puerto Rico, which has led her to offer conferences on legal topics, business development, professional service contracts, and copyright law for the benefit of her fellow photographers and videographers in the wedding and event industry.
In 2020, she participated as a speaker at PhoVidCon, and in 2024, she was a speaker at Proyecto Enfoque, both events aimed at providing valuable information to the industry. She has also given workshops to photography students and high school students on how to develop a business in Puerto Rico while meeting the necessary requirements to start off on the right foot.
