Zuriel Ramos

Zuriel Ramos is a passionate storyteller with a remarkable career in communication and audiovisual production. He studied Tele-Radial Communication at the University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo Campus, where he refined his skills in television and film.

Since the beginning of his career, he has worked with prominent Puerto Rican figures and artists, including Gilberto Santa Rosa, Luisa de los Ríos, Otilio Warrington, Pedro Capó, and Walter Soto León, among others. In the film industry, he participated in projects such as the movies El Buster y el Camaleón and El Corillo, directed by Jorge Luis Ramos and Vicente Castro. He also ventured into theater with productions by Happy Productions and worked in television with media producer Luis Vigoreaux Jr., where he served as technical director for shows like Esta D Show and Cocina con Luisito.

In 2012, Zuriel founded Zura Film, a production company specializing in wedding videography. Today, he is considered one of the pioneers in destination wedding videography in Puerto Rico. His work has crossed borders, documenting over 400 weddings for couples from different nationalities, allowing him to develop a global and unique perspective in visual storytelling.
In addition to his focus on wedding videography, Zuriel has worked on various projects and commercial campaigns for brands such as Aerostar, Church’s Chicken, Baskin Robbins, and currently collaborates with Casera, Bohío, and Goya Puerto Rico. His role in the audiovisual industry also includes directing the television project Chef Menú Criollo Goya, a culinary competition aimed at high school students.

His passion for education has driven him to develop workshops and classes and to speak at various events. A significant milestone in his career came when he became the first Puerto Rican destination wedding videographer to present at WPPI in Las Vegas, Nevada—one of the most prestigious photography and videography events in the world.

Currently, Zuriel is co-host of the podcast Tema Libre, where he shares his knowledge and experiences with other professionals in the industry.

In addition to his love for visual arts, Zuriel is a partner at Don Rosario Cigars in Puerto Rico. Today, Don Rosario Cigars is endorsed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company as the cigar of Puerto Rico, solidifying its presence in the premium cigar market.
